Terms of Service

Last Updated: November 5, 2025

1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing and using TraceNone ("the Service"), you accept and agree to be bound by the terms and provision of this agreement. If you do not agree to abide by the above, please do not use this service.

2. Description of Service

TraceNone is a secret sharing service that allows users to create encrypted, one-time-use links to share sensitive information. Secrets are encrypted server-side using AES-256-GCM encryption and are automatically deleted after being retrieved once by the recipient.

3. User Responsibilities

You are responsible for:

  • Ensuring the security of the shareable links you create
  • Sharing links only with intended recipients
  • Not using the service for illegal or harmful purposes
  • Understanding that secrets are permanently deleted after retrieval and cannot be recovered
  • Keeping your unlock keys secure and not sharing them separately

4. Prohibited Uses

You may not use the Service to:

  • Share illegal content, including but not limited to copyrighted material without authorization, child exploitation material, or content promoting illegal activities
  • Harass, threaten, or harm others
  • Transmit malware, viruses, or other harmful code
  • Violate any applicable laws or regulations
  • Attempt to gain unauthorized access to the Service or its systems
  • Use the Service in a way that could damage, disable, or impair the Service
  • Share content that violates intellectual property rights

5. One-Time Use and Automatic Deletion

Important: Secrets created through TraceNone can only be retrieved once. After a secret is retrieved by the recipient, it is permanently deleted from our servers and cannot be recovered.

We perform hard deletes (permanent removal) of secrets immediately after retrieval. There are no backups, no recovery options, and no ability to retrieve deleted secrets.

6. Encryption and Security

While we use industry-standard encryption (AES-256-GCM) and security practices, no method of transmission over the Internet or electronic storage is 100% secure. We cannot guarantee absolute security of your secrets, though we implement reasonable security measures to protect them.

7. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law:

  • TraceNone is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind, either express or implied
  • We are not liable for any loss or damage resulting from your use of the Service
  • We are not responsible for lost secrets due to accidental deletion, system failures, or user error
  • We are not liable for unauthorized access to secrets if you fail to keep your links or unlock keys secure
  • We are not responsible for the actions of recipients who access your shared secrets

8. Service Availability

We strive to maintain service availability but do not guarantee uninterrupted access. The Service may be temporarily unavailable due to maintenance, updates, or unforeseen circumstances. We reserve the right to modify or discontinue the Service at any time without prior notice.

9. No Accounts or User Data

TraceNone does not require user accounts. We do not maintain user profiles or personal information beyond what is necessary to provide the Service. We do not track your usage or maintain analytics about your activity.

10. Intellectual Property

The Service and its original content, features, and functionality are owned by JPCoding and are protected by international copyright, trademark, patent, trade secret, and other intellectual property laws. You may not reproduce, modify, or distribute any part of the Service without our express written permission.

11. Termination

We reserve the right to terminate or suspend access to our Service immediately, without prior notice or liability, for any reason whatsoever, including without limitation if you breach the Terms. Upon termination, your right to use the Service will immediately cease.

12. Changes to Terms

We reserve the right, at our sole discretion, to modify or replace these Terms at any time. If a revision is material, we will try to provide at least 30 days notice prior to any new terms taking effect. What constitutes a material change will be determined at our sole discretion.

13. Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed and construed in accordance with applicable laws, without regard to its conflict of law provisions. Our failure to enforce any right or provision of these Terms will not be considered a waiver of those rights.
